Federal Legislation:

The Balanced Budget Act of 1997, Subtitle A, Subchapter B of Chapter 4 of Subtitle C, and Chapter 3 of Subtitle H, Pub. Law No. 105-33, 111 Stat. 251, 712-731, 756-759, and 786-787, as amended

District of Columbia Legislation:

Judges Plan : D.C. Official Code §§ 11-1502 to 11-1570

Police and Firefighters Plan : D.C. Code §§ 4-603 to 4-634 (as in effect on June 29, 1997); as of 2001, the Plan was recodified at D.C. Official Code §§ 5-701 to 5-762; any amendments effective after June 29, 1997, that are in the current D.C. Code, but not in the Balanced Budget Act (as amended), are not applicable for Federal benefit purposes.

Teachers Plan : D.C. Code §§ 31-1251 to 31-1252 (as in effect on June 29, 1997); as of 2001, the Plan was recodified at D.C. Official Code §§ 38-2001.01 to 38-2061.202; any amendments effective after June 29, 1997, that are in the current D.C. Code, but not in the Balanced Budget Act (as amended), are not applicable for Federal benefit purposes.
