Privacy and Confidentiality of Submissions
The Science Panel on Interactive Communication and Health (SciPICH)
has created this statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The
following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices of the SciPICH
Web site.
Cookies
- This site does not use cookies. A
"cookie" is a short piece of data, not code, which is sent from a Web server to
a Web browser when that browser visits the server's site. The cookie is stored on
your machine, tells the server when you have visited before, and can coordinate your
access to different pages on its Web site.1
E-mail & Customer Feedback
- This site offers a feedback form,
an IHC resource nomination form, and an e-mail link on every page so that you can communicate
with us. Comments sent to the panel are reviewed and addressed to ensure that the
informational needs of visitors to this site are best served. You have the option to
voluntarily provide your e-mail address and request a reply to your question(s) from the
panel. Your information is used internally for communication and customer service
functions and not shared with outside parties.
External Links
- This site contains links to other sites. Any reference or
links to a specific product, company, or organization noted on this Web site does not
imply endorsement by the Science Panel on Interactive Communication and Health, the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, or any of the Panel members' affiliated
institutions.
IHC Application Registration
- Developers are invited to voluntarily submit an IHC application to this site using the online version of
the Evaluation Reporting Template. Contact
information, an e-mail address, and a password are required to register the IHC
application, confirm the registration, and permit a user to update or delete an IHC
application submission. There are several questions registrants are asked to answer so
users of this site can browse the database for IHC applications that apply to selected
topics of interest. Please note that submitted IHC applications will be available to
the public.
Contacting this Web Site
- If you have any questions about this privacy statement, the
practices of this site, or your dealings with this Web site, please contact us.
