Electronics Department

The ship's Electronics Department is staffed by rotating Electronics Technicians (ET's) from the Marine Operation Center's, Mission Support Division. There is one ET aboard during each cruise. The ET is responsible for the maintenance, repair and calibration of all electronic equipment including data acquisition systems, electronic navigation systems, echo sounders and recorders, communications equipment, computers, and winch instrumentation systems. The ET also maintains the electronics shop.

Been on McARTHUR II since, Oct 2005.

20 year US Navy SONAR Technician, 4 year US Navy Library Technician before joining NOAA. He has sailed aboard the NOAA Ship Miller Freeman and the Oscar E Sette.
