Access:

From Greenwater Road:
Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw 20.3 miles to Greenwater Road #70. Then left (north) onto Road #70 and follow 9.6 miles to trail sign. Turn right onto Road #7033, the trailhead is on the right side of road after 0.5 mile. Trailhead Facilities: Paved parking area, 10 horse trailer parking, 20 vehicle parking spaces, and vault toilet.

From Corral Pass Road:
Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw 31.6 miles to Corral Pass Road #7174. Turn left (east) onto Road #7174 and follow 6.7 miles to developed parking area just before Corral Pass campground. Trailhead Facilities: Paved parking area, 10 horse trailer parking, 20 vehicle parking spaces, and vault toilet.

Attractions & Considerations:

Greenwater to Echo Lake:
The trail takes off in an old harvest unit and then climbs along the Greenwater River in old growth timber. At mile point 1.7 it meets Lower Greenwater Lake (also known as Meeker Lake); at mile point 2.2 it meets Upper Greenwater Lake. Both lakes offer fair fishing as does the river. Just above Upper Greenwater Lake you enter the Norse Peak Wilderness. At mile point 3.2, the trail junctions with Lost Lake Trail #1185. The Lost Lake Trail takes off to your right (south) as one heads up the river. At the mile point 5.6 is the junction with Maggie Creek Trail #1186. Maggie Creek Trail takes off to your left (east) when hiking up river. At mile point 6.6 is a spur trail to a campsite on the left at north end of Echo Lake. At mile point 7.4 is a small horse camp, tent sites, hitch rails at south end of Echo Lake. To the east is Arch Rock Trail #1187 (trail takes off to the left).

Echo Lake to Corral Pass:
After leaving Echo Lake and the junction with the Arch Rock Trail #1187 follow the trail to mile point 9.5 and the junction with Hidden Lake Trail to the left (east). Begin climbing through old growth timber to the junction with Castle Mountain Trail #1188 to the left (west) at mile point 10.8. Continue ascending through old growth timber into sub-alpine timber and on to Corral Pass at mile point 12.0.

  • Northwest Forest Pass is required for each vehicle parked at the trailhead.
  • No motorized vehicles or bicycles allowed.
  • Dogs must be on a leash.
  • Use established rings for campfires.
