Together with the Academy for Educational Development (AED), the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is pleased to inform the public of its plan to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to further develop the NIAID HIV Vaccine Research and Education Initiative partnership. The initiative was established in 2006 to engage national and scientific organizations to increase knowledge about and support for HIV vaccine research among U.S. populations most affected by HIV/AIDS.

The RFP will be posted on www.bethegeneration.org on January 9, 2008. Proposals are due on January 31, 2008, with projects scheduled to begin in March 2008.
