Brief Chronology of Employment:

1984-1988 - Medical Technologist (MT, ASCP) (SH, ASCP). Worked as a night supervisor and medical technologist in a number of disciplines including Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, Parasitology, Urinanalysis, Pathology and Microbiology at Pennsylvania Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania, and Graduate Hospital in Phila., PA.
1988-1990 - Graduate student at Temple University School of Medicine. Besides thesis project, also established multiple collaborations around Philadelphia. Dealing with antigen presentation and processing, psychoneuro- immunology, superantigens, and microbicidal (viral, fungal, and parasitic) invasion and killing.
1990-1991 - Research Associate. Laboratory of Dr. Kenneth J. Blank, Hahnemmann University School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. Finishing Patent applications on methyxanthine compounds and autoimmune models as well as performing work with murine retroviruses and T cell clones against retroviruses.
1991-1993 - Staff Fellow, National Cancer Institute, NIH. Laboratory of Molecular Immunoregulation, Building 560, Room 31-19, Frederick, MD 21702.
1993-1997 - Head, Clinical Vaccine Research Laboratory; Scientist, Clinical Services Program, National Cancer Institute-Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center, SAIC-Frederick, Room 11-23,Frederick, MD. 21702. Supervisor of research and monitoring of clinical tumor-specific vaccine trials. Also, Head of basic research within the CSP dealing with a number of research areas and codirector of the ALTS Immunology study laboratory dedicated to monitoring an human papilloma epidemiological study.
1997-Date - Acting Chief, Laboratory of Immunology, Section Chief, Clinical Immunology Section, National Institute on Aging, NIH. Also, Director, Clinical Core Laboratory, Scientific Advisor to the Flow Cytometry Laboratory and Animal Resource Section, and Safety Chairperson of the GRC.
