ATSDR to Discuss Nuclear Fuel Services Site Findings
At Public Meetings August 30 and 31

ATLANTA – The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will host two public meetings to discuss the agency’s evaluation of possible environmental contaminants surrounding the Nuclear Fuel Services site in Tennessee.

The meetings will be held:

6 – 8 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to stop by at any time during the meetings and speak with an ATSDR staff one-on-one about ATSDR’s evaluation related to the Nuclear Fuel Services site.

ATSDR was asked to address the community's concerns related to cancer, air and water quality surrounding the site. The agency has gathered community health concerns, evaluated the existing environmental and public health data, and has reported the findings in a draft public health assessment (PHA).
