ATLANTA - The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will hold a community meeting on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, to hear community members' health concerns that may be related to the Perma-Fix (aka Clark Oil) site in Dayton, Ohio.

The meeting will be 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Wright Dunbar Technology Academy (formerly Radcliff Middle School) at 120 Knox Ave., Dayton. ATSDR staff will explain the agency's planned work regarding the Perma-Fix site and public health.

In addition to the community meeting, ATSDR will also hold a public availability session from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The public availability session is an informal meeting where community members can talk confidentially one-on-one with ATSDR representatives about their site-related health concerns.

ATSDR, a federal public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, evaluates the human health effects of exposure to hazardous substances.
