Extramural, Peer-Reviewed Research Grant Program

The CDC Public Health Law Program supports and encourages applied research on the impact of law on public health and related issues at the intersection of public health law and policy.

The Public Health Law Program and other CDC programs have awarded grants for peer-reviewed, extramural research projects.  As those projects are completed, the researchers and the Public Health Law Program collaborate to translate their findings into public health practice.

Anticipated Future Grants

The Public Health Law Program made awards for extramural, peer-reviewed research in 2002 and 2003. We anticipate publishing the next request for applications in the winter of 2006. That announcement will appear in the Federal Register and also on the CDC website at the following address: http://www.cdc.gov/od/pgo/funding/grantmain.htm. CDC announces many different types of grant opportunities at that same address.
