Analysis of New HIV Incidence Data Offers In-Depth Look at Populations Most At-Risk in the United States

What:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will release the results of a new HIV incidence analysis that show –by race, gender and route of transmission–which population groups are most impacted by new infections. The data, which offers the most in-depth look at populations most affected, were derived from CDC’s HIV incidence surveillance system and will be published September 12th in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

CDC will provide details on the impact of the epidemic among African-Americans by age breakdown and genders, and gay and bisexual men of all races and age groups.
