An
Exercise Story
Believe it or not, dancing is my favorite form of exercise.
Although I danced socially when I was younger, it wasn't until I
reached retirement age that I started learning how to tap dance and
perform modern dance. At age 60 I signed up for a dance class at
the local gym and today, 13 years later I dance with a group that
formed in the class. We entertain regularly at retirement homes,
senior centers, and nursing homes. It's so fulfilling to see how
much the people there enjoy our performances. We have dance class
three days a week at the gym, and on those days I also do the
treadmill for 20 minutes. Walking is another form of exercise I
enjoy. I feel so blessed. I have 5 children and 9 grandchildren and
they all say, "We wish we could keep up with you!"
