Undisbursed and Receipt Account Reports

WHAT ARE THE UNDISBURSED AND RECEIPT REPORTS?

The Undisbursed and Receipt Account Reports (UND) is an Internet application of the Government On-Line Accounting Link Information Access System II (GOALS II/IAS). This application provides Federal Program Agencies (FPAs) access to account balance and monthly transaction data using a standard web browser and access via the Internet. The reports available in this application are:

  • Undisbursed Appropriation Account Ledger (FMS 6653)
  • Undisbursed Appropriation Account Trial Balance (FMS 6654)
  • Receipt Account Ledger (FMS 6655)
  • Receipt Account Trial Balance (FMS 6655)
  • Report of Unavailable Receipt Transactions (FMS 6655).

The data included in these reports is derived from agencies monthly reports that classify transactions to appropriation, fund, and receipt accounts, Appropriation Warrants, Non-expenditure Transfer Authorizations, and other account-based transactions reported to the Financial Management Service (FMS). These reports are updated monthly to reflect year-to-date balances and activity and current month transactions.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

The UND application allows the user to access its account balance and transaction data via the Internet. This application facilitates agency account reconciliation. By comparing FPA accounting records with the balances and transactions reflected in these reports, FPAs can verify that the accounting records are in synch. If not, adjustments can be identified and processed to correct any inaccuracies.

This application receives a monthly transmission from the Central Accounting System (STAR). Due to accelerated processing, we are able to deliver this information to the FPAs on the 13th workday following the close of the month. In addition, fifteen months of historical data is available on-line and can be downloaded in a variety of formats.
