簡介
空腹血糖受損 (IFG) 經常會發展成2型糖尿病。由於這種疾病的嚴重性和流行程度,因此採取一級預防措施十分重要。強化生活方式輔導干預已經能夠延遲或防止2型糖尿病的發作,但是不知道較低強化程度、更容易複製的方法是否也能夠奏效。

方法
在為降低2型糖尿病風險而設計的生活方式干預研究中,我們從一個城市社區中招募了200名年齡在18至40歲之間、未患有糖尿病的美國印第安女性,在不考慮體重或IFG的情況下,按空腹血糖(FBG)隨機分為干預組和控制組。在基線以及18個月的定期隨訪過程中,報告飲食和身體活動行為,採取臨床代謝、健康和身體成分等措施。在前6個月,美國印第安測試員採用了小組討論形式,在健康飲食、身體活動、社會支援以及目標設定方面提供有文化影響的教育干預措施。我們從干預組和控制組中選擇了在基線時患有IFG的美國印第安年輕女性亞組(n = 42)展開分析。

結果
在患有IFG的女性中,從基線到隨訪過程,FBG平均值顯著降低(P < 0.001),在30名完成18個月隨訪過程的女性中,其中62.0%的FBG已轉變到正常水準(<5.6 mmol/L或<100 mg/dL),不管是否參加小組教育課程。其他有改善的代謝值包括空腹血總膽固醇平均值以及低密度脂蛋白膽固醇水準的顯著降低。這些女性報告在總能量攝取、飽和脂肪、總脂肪、總糖量、含糖飲料、飲食中甜食的比例以及看電視小時數方面的總體平均值顯著降低。

結論
