An artist paints among the terraced lawns and trees.
At Weir Farm National Historic Site you can still experience the landscape that has inspired artists for over 125 years.
Visitors to the site are encouraged to explore the fields and walk among the studios and farm buildings. Artists are also welcome to come and paint the landscape in the tradition of the many artists that have worked here in the past.
Did You Know?
The Land of Nod was the name given to his property, now preserved as Weir Farm National Historic Site, by J. Alden Weir and his artist friends. Both Weir and Childe Hassam used the phrase to title works that were inspired by the local landscape.
