We are a team lead by Michael Douglas from the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL), which is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Our field of interest is tropical and mesoscale meteorology/climatology. As a result, a variety of activities related to Climate Research and Education have been carried out over the Americas since 1997. We have participated in, or arranged separately, numerous activities such as the South American Low Level Jet Experiment (SALLJEX), the North American Monsoon Experiment (NAME), the Pan American Climate Studies Sounding Network (PACS-SONET), and the NASA African Monsoon Multidiciplinary Analysis (NAMMA).
