	Students must be nominated for the Byrd Honors Scholarship Program.  Therefore, application materials are sent directly to school guidance offices in March.   So if your son or daughter is nominated, the guidance office will make the application materials available to him or her.
	The recognition programs are undergoing a revision. Therefore, the Best Practices and Star Schools programs are no longer being continued. Please take a look at a new program, Schools to Watch, under the school recognition link.
