Poster Guidelines
  
Posters will be on display from 6 - 7:30 pm on Monday, September 15th.

Individual authors (or a representative) should be present at their poster for at least 30 min, 6 pm -7:30 pm on Monday, September 15, 2003.

How to Pick up Poster Information:
Poster Board assignment and information will be emailed to each presenter by September 10, 2003.

Poster Board Display Area:
The area for displaying each poster presentation is 4 feet high by 8 feet wide. The surface is felt board firmly supported on legs. Please bring an ample supply of push-pins or Velcro. Poster ID numbers also will be displayed in the left-hand corner of each poster board to help you locate your assigned location.

Setup Dates and Times
Monday, September 15: 7:30 a.m. 9 am

Dismantle Date and Time
Monday, September 15: After 7:30 pm 

Additional Guidelines:
Your presentation should contain succinct headings that organize and logically display the information. Prepare a short, legible introduction and a summary of conclusions. Graphics should be explicit and brief. Please consider the use of color to add emphasis. Posters should be designed to:

  • Catch the viewer's attention, 
  • Quickly acquaint the viewer with the basics of your subject, and 
  • Make the viewer want to learn more. 
  • Illustrations must be readable from distances of at least 3 feet. Charts, drawings, and illustrations should be similar to those you would use in making slides. You may bring copies of any handouts you wish to distribute.
