Trns•port Software

Overview

Trns•port is a suite of software modules that supports the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) construction programs and is for use by NJDOT, consultants and contractors. Developed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), more than 40 states use this software.

Trns•port manages the construction program from cost estimation through proposals, bids, awards and construction and materials management.

NJDOT has implemented the software modules for cost estimation (CES) , proposals and estimates (PES), bidding (Expedite), letting and awards (LAS). It will bring the construction and materials (SiteManager) module online in Fall 2008. Consulting firms are required to use the cost estimation software to prepare detailed and long range estimates and contractors must use Expedite to prepare and submit bids.
