Interest (5-6%) on No-Minimum Deposit Savings Accounts
All of the talking heads are saying that Americans no longer save enough money. When I was a teenager in the mid-1970's banks offered 5.25% interest, compounded daily, with no minimum deposits. This provided a wonderful incentive for people to save, young a old. These days, you need large minimum deposits, or need to tie your money up for years at a time to ge 4%!
