AIR FORCE

Dyncorp Aerospace Technology, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $10,793,148 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for FY 1999 operation and maintenance of the multimedia center and technical support for test activities at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. There were 63 firms solicited and three proposals received. Expected contract completion date is September 30, 2006. Solicitation issue date was March 19, 1998. Negotiation completion date was July 24, 1998. Air Force Development Test Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F089635-98-C-0006).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded a $16,009,798 cost-plus-incentive-fee-contract to provide for engineering and manufacturing development of the Hard Target Smart Fuze. This program will provide a highly reliable accelorometer based fuze for hard target munitions. There were 16 firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is October 2001. Solicitation issue date was March 17, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98-C-0010).

GTE Government Systems Corp., Needham Heights, Mass., is being awarded a $11,703,003 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for procurement and installation of the Defense Improved Emergency Message Automated Transmission System (IEMATS) Replacement Command and Control Terminal (DIRECT) at seven operational sites and a Direct Software Support Facility. The terminal is used to compose Emergency Action Messages for transmission through the Defense Message System and the Higher Authority Communication Systems. Expected contract completion date is December 1999. Solicitation issue date was March 20, 1998. Negotiation completion date was July 15, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-96-C-0126/P00017).

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $75,351,942 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee-contract to provide for fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and support of nine Multi-Mission Mobile Processors in support of

the Space based Infrared System. These units are designed to provide a mobile ballistic and strategic missile warning capability. Expected contract completion date is November 2006. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-95-C-0017/-0046).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $16,984,185 cost-plus-award-fee delivery order against an existing indefinite-quantity contract. This contract will identify, procure, and integrate available commercial off-the-shelf reconfigurable and desktop battle simulator systems at the Army simulation test bed facilities to allow them to support emerging Army requirements in the advanced concepts and requirements; research, development and acquisition; and training, exercises and military operations domains. Work will be performed in Fort Knox, Ky. (20%); Fort Sill, Okla. (20%); Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. (20%); Fort Bliss, Texas (15%); Fort Hood, Texas (15%); and Orlando, Fla. (10%), and is expected to be completed by February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 125 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-96-D-0002).

Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace, Kongsberg, Norway, is being awarded a $5,290,517 firm-fixed-price contract for FY 98 production requirements for the Penguin MK2 MOD 7 Missile. This will include the procurement of four missiles, 45 missile control test sets, canards/winds, umbilical release units, interconnecting cables, wing lanyards, power unit cables, umbilical cables, alignment power units, and missile power units. Work will be performed in Kongsberg, Norway, and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0026).
