Abstract:

This report summarizes the information presented in "Cost Containment Strategies Part 2: Rebates and Other Cost-Saving Measures," the third in a series of Nationally broadcast technical assistance telephone conference calls focusing on state operated AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs). The ADAP Technical assistance teleconference call series is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of information among ADAPs, DHS/HRSA and NASTAD; update, on a monthly basis, key activities and developments in ADAP programs; and offer a forum to discuss models and strategies that ADAPs are using to respond to the critical challenges they face in providing access to effective treatments for low-income, uninsured people living with HIV disease. It includes he content of the presentation and the discussion that took place during a Q & A session with conference call participants.
