This fact sheet for health professionals contains information on women's oral health and its association with general health status as well as strategies for improving the oral health of women. It provides data on oral disease in women aged 18 to 64 from the third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The fact sheet discusses the effect that a woman's oral health may have on her infant or child. It includes references. This publication is available for U.S. requests only.
