NJL AND CCGNJ KICK-OFF ANNUAL
“NOT 18 YET? NO BET” CAMPAIGN

At Lottery retail location, Bossio's Deli and Catering in Lawrenceville, the New Jersey Lottery recently teamed up with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, Inc. (CCGNJ) for a press conference to announce that each organization is placing new emphasis on its continued commitment to responsible play and preventing underage gambling.

In conjunction with the American Gaming Association's Responsible Gaming Education Week, August 6-10, the New Jersey Lottery is supplementing its ongoing responsible play initiatives with the start of its “Not 18 Yet? No Bet” Annual Awareness Campaign . To educate and remind residents that there is an age restriction on lottery play in New Jersey, the Lottery has launched statewide distribution of its newly created “Not 18 Yet? No Bet” brochure. It will be available at Bossio's Deli and Catering and each of the other 6,100 registered Lottery retailer location, at all Lottery-sponsored exhibits and events, and through the Lottery website.

In addition, Lottery sales representatives will visit retailers to make certain that the “Not 18 Yet? No Bet” decals are affixed to each Lottery “Green Machine” and in plain view, and that the brochure is prominently displayed for store customers' easy access.

The New Jersey Lottery has maintained a long-standing, cooperative relationship with the CCGNJ and is proud to support the vital mission of the Council. For distribution to students throughout New Jersey who attend the CCGNJ's high school lecture series, the Lottery has provided the Council with supplies of the “Not 18 Yet? No Bet” brochure, as well pencils containing the message, “LOTTERY IS NOT CHILD'S PLAY. You Must Be 18 Or Older To Play The New Jersey Lottery.”
