TRENTON, NJ – (December 1, 2008) – The four owners of Jersey Cash 5 jackpot tickets that were sold in Middlesex, Union, Morris and Somerset Counties have split the top prize of $ 539,040 for the Jersey Cash 5 drawing held on Saturday, November 29. Each winning ticket is worth $134,760.

Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain said the winning tickets were the only four sold for Saturday's drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were: 02, 14, 18, 31 and 39.

The Middlesex County ticket was purchased at Speedy Mart, located at 365 Georges Road #6 in Dayton , and the Union County ticket was sold at Rankin Street Deli, located at 48 Rankin Street in the City of Elizabeth . The Morris County ticket was purchased at Main Street Submarine, located at 187 Main Street in Madison , and the Somerset County ticket was sold at Express Mart, located at 990 Route 202 South in Branchburg.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Speedy Mart, Rankin Street Deli, Main Street Submarine and Express Mart, ” said Acting Executive Director Jourdain. “For selling these tickets, each of these businesses will receive a bonus check for $750. Overnight, these retailers have become four more ‘lucky locations' for some very fortunate winners.”

Jourdain also noted that 4,498 other players won $133,822 in cash prizes in the drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 126 players won cash prizes of $611.00 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 4,372 players won $13.00 each.

Jersey Cash 5 is among the Lottery's more popular games with an average jackpot of $300,000. Sales from Jersey Cash 5 last year were just under $126 million.
