Welcome to the Office of the Governor’s site where you can access information regarding appointments to state boards, authorities and commissions.

Service on a board or commission is an important way to contribute to our state and communities. The Governor makes appointments to a great number of boards and commissions that deal with virtually every department and public policy area.

Some appointments made by the Governor require the advice and consent of the State Senate. Others are made directly by the Governor, requiring no action by the Senate.

Serving on a board or commission requires more than an individual's presence; it requires a considerable contribution of expertise and time. It is important to realize that time commitment will vary depending on the ways in which a specific board or commission operates.

The Governor is committed to ensuring that appointments to boards and commissions reflect the gender and ethnic diversity of our state, and we welcome your participation in this process.
