RESERVE, NATIONAL GUARD UNITS CALLED UP - OCT. 3

The Marine Corps Reserve has called 67 more individual reservists to active duty as part of the partial mobilization authorized by President Bush. To date, 258 individual Marine reservists have been called to duty. No Marine Corps Reserve units have been called up.

The 270th Military Police Company was inadvertently listed in both the Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 news releases. The total numbers for Army Reserve forces provided below have been reduced to eliminate the duplication.

Total current call-ups for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve are 4,482; Naval Reserve, 2,120; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 12,722; Marine Corps Reserve, 258; and the Coast Guard Reserve, 2,751. This brings the total Reserve and National Guard called to active duty to 22,333 from 140 units, 44 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and individual augmentees.
