Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, will host an honor cordon to welcome Secretary of State for Defence Geoffrey Hoon, of the United Kingdom, to the Pentagon at 11:30 a.m. EST, Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001.
The ceremony will be held at the River Entrance of the Pentagon. Media must be at the River Entrance no later than 11:10 a.m. EST for the cordon.
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Hoon will conduct a brief media availability in the DoD Briefing Studio Room 2E781 at 1:35 p.m. EST followed by an operational update by Rear Adm. John D. Stufflebeem.
Media without Pentagon credentials must be at the River Entrance no later than 1:15 p.m. EST for escort to the media availability.
