ARMY

David Engineering & Construction, Incorporated, Louisville, Ky., is beingawarded a $9,291,600 firm fixed price contract for construction of amobilization and training equipment site (MATES). The project will includesite work on 25 acres, site utilities, asphalt parking, concrete parking,gravel parking and construction of a new 88,270 square foot steel framemaintenance building and a 13,108 square foot steel frame storage building.Work will be performed at Fort Knox, Ky., and is expected to be completed byMay 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. There were 63 bids solicited on December 1, 1995, and ten bids received.The contracting activity is the National Guard Bureau, Frankfort, Ky.(DAHA15-96-C-0002).

Logican R&D Associates, Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $7,259,438modification to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for continuing andnew-start scientific and engineering technical assistance to the DefenseNuclear Agency technology base program and will provide support involving thefull range of agency functions and missions, i.e., develop standardizedmethodology to assess aircraft crashes at Department of Energy facilities inconjunction with on-going B-52H Weapon System Safety Assessment, NBC hazardanalysis in war gaming and exercises; Radiation Testing Users' Handbook, andcounterproliferation projects, etc. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va.,and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Contract funds will notexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contractinitiated in April, 1993. The contracting activity is the Defense NuclearAgency, Washington, D.C. (DNA001-93-C-0138).
