ARMY

United Defense, L.P., San Jose, California, is being awarded a $24,234,089firm fixed price contract for Operation Desert Storm (ODS) improvement kitsconsisting of: 514 Bradley Eyesafe Laser Rangefinders (BELRF), 198 BELRFIntegrated Sight Units (ISU), 514 navigation systems, 471 driver's hatchhandles, 514 ODS turret hardware, 180 missile countermeasure devices (MCD), 170exterior stowage, 514 ODS chassis hardware, 72 gunner's seats, 11 M2A2 deltarestows, 56 M3A2 ODS restows, and 405 M2A2 delta restow kits. Work will beperformed in San Jose, California, and is expected to be completed by October30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 19, 1995. Thecontracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command,Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-96-C-X130).

NAVY

Tracor Applied Sciences, Incorporated, Austin, Texas, is being awarded a$22,106,396 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for design, production, andinstallation of a radio communications system (RCS) for the CVN 76 aircraftcarrier. Work will be performed in North Charleston, South Carolina (95%), andChesapeake, Virginia (5%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001.Contract funds are Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy, and will not expire atthe end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procuredwith 36 firms solicited and two offers received. This contract includesoptions which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contractto $38,762,174. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, DetachmentPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity (N00140-96-C-R001).

Metrum, Incorporated, Littleton, Colorado, is being awarded a $7,775,000firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract for 79various tape record/reproduce systems and 6500 tape cartridges for datacollection and analysis from various, existing Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)systems. Work will be performed in Littleton, Colorado, and is expected to becompleted by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The NavalUndersea Warfare Division, Newport Detachment, New London, Connecticut, is thecontracting activity (N66604-96-D-0173).
