ARMY

Day & Zimmerman Hawthorne Corporation, Radnor, Pennsylvania, is being awardeda $5,197,770 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the operationand maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility. Work willbe performed at the Hawthorne Army Ammunition Plant, Hawthorne, Nevada, and isexpected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Of the total contract funds,$4,974,569 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a solesource contract initiated on November 11, 1994. The contracting activity isthe U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois(DAAA09-89-Z-0001).

AIR FORCE

Rockwell International Corporation, Space Systems Division, Downey CA, isbeing awarded a $382,394,848 fixed-price contract for GPS block IIFacquisition including design, development, production, and integration of 33satellite vehicles along with vehicle unique ground control software.Production efforts are divided between three multi-year blocks of 6, 15, and 12satellites each, In addition, the procurement includes options for advancedintegration studies, launch operations support, on-orbit operations support,operational control system operations and maintenance, and missions operationsupport center operations and maintenance. Finally, options exist for both thedevelopment and incorporation into production of the DoD civil use frequency.Multi-year contracting will be used for production of the first block of 6satellites. Contract is expected to be completed in April 2001. Contractfunds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year. The solicitation wasissued in September 1995. SMC/CZK, Los Angeles AFB, CA, is the contractingactivity (F04701-96-C-0025).

General Electric Company, General Electric Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati, OH,is being awarded a not to exceed $10,000,000 cost-plus-fixed fee contract forBasic Research and Development Task Order Contract for the Engine ModelDerivative Program (EMDP) which conducts propulsion studies and analysisnecessary to identify air vehicle propulsion systems

capabilities, enhancements/cost ownership reductions, and to select propulsionoptions to meet

emerging warfighting needs. Contract is expected to be completed in December1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year. Thesolicitation was issued in September 1995 and negotiations were completed inApril 1996. ASC/LPKJ, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, is the contracting activity(F33657-95-D-0089).

NAVY

Advanced Systems Technology,* Atlanta, Georgia, is being awarded a $20,448,329indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee completioncontract for Navy-oriented scientific engineering and technical services insupport of Naval ship and submarine fire resistant material applications, fireprotection and survivability improvements, and personnel protection andsurvivability programs. Work will be performed in Atlanta, Georgia (2%), andaboard U.S. Navy ships in port at various locations around the world (98%), andis expected to be completed by April 2001. Contract funds will not expire atthe end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitivelyprocured, and selection was made under the 8(a) program by the Small BusinessAdministration. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division,Annapolis Detachment, Annapolis, Maryland, is the contracting activity(N00167-96-D-0032).

Lockheed Martin, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown, New Jersey, isbeing awarded a $13,937,500 modification to a previously awarded contract(N00024-94-C-5160) to exercise an option for AEGIS Operations and MaintenanceSupport of Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS), Land Based TestSite (LBTS), Program Generation Site (PGC), Computer Program Test Site (CPTS),and AEGIS Data Reduction Center (ADRC). Work will be performed in Moorestown,New Jersey, and is expected to be completed by April 1997. Contract fundswill not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea SystemsCommand, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a$57,000,000 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00019-95-C-0094) toprocure four additional Remanufactured AV-8B Harrier II Plus aircraft under theFY 96 requirement. The remanufactured process provides the Navy with theimproved version of the Harrier now

capable of operations in all weather conditions. Work will be performed inHazlewood, Missouri (73%), and Kingston, England (27%), and is expected to becompleted by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, isthe contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis,Missouri,

is being awarded a $14,000,000 modification to a previously awarded contract(N00019-95-C-0015) for procurement of 18 F/A-18C/D aircraft weapon systems andassociated supplies and data for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in St.Louis, Missouri (67%), and Hawthorne,

California (33%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contractfunds will

not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air SystemsCommand, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis,Missouri, is being awarded a $311,264,274 modification to a previously awardedcontract (N00019-95-C-0031) for procurement of 17 F-18C aircraft and associatedsupplies and data for the Finnish Air Force (100%) under the Foreign MilitarySales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (62%),Hawthorne, California (33%), and Hali, Finland (5%), and is expected to becompleted by August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, isthe contracting activity.
