Defense Information Systems Agency

AT&T Global Information Solutions (AT&T GIS), Rockville, Md. was awarded on February 12, 1996, a fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the point of sale (POS) modernization of the Defense Commissary Agency. $7.7 million was initially obligated; however, the minimum buy is estimated at $44 million for the four year basic contract period. Work will be performed at various locations throughout the world. 44 proposals were solicited; three proposals were received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. is the contracting activity (DCA200-96-D-0039).

ARMY

3M Company, St. Paul, Minnesota, is being awarded a $9,656,951 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for final phase of the 3M metal matrix "Model Factory" program. Research and development to concentrate on the development of titanium and aluminum composites and their manufacturing technologies. Work will be performed in St. Paul, Minnesota (68%) and Kearneysville, West Virginia (32%), and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were letter RFP bids solicited on September 8, 1995, and 1 bid received. The contracting activity is the Advanced Research Projects Agency , Arlington, Virginia (MDA972-90-C-0018).

AM General Corporation, South Bend, Indiana, is being awarded a $25,508,567 modification to a firm fixed price (with economic price adjustment) contract for 426 remanufactured 2 1/2 ton cargo trucks for the extended service program. Work will be performed in South Bend, Indiana (90%) and Livonia, Michigan (10%), and is expected to be completed by May 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 2 bids solicited on August 28, 1993 and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-93-C-R110). O'Gara-Haas and Eisenhardt Armoring, Fairfield, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,948,496 modification with 50% $3,974,248 obligated now to a firm fixed price contract for accelerated deliveries of 220 added armor for XM1114 High Mobility Multi-wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). This is a ceiling price award, %0% awarded, balance upon definitization. These trucks are in direct support of troops in Bosnia. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract solicited on March 29, 1994. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-94-C-0406).

NAVY

Texas Instruments, Incorporated, Plano, Texas, is being awarded a $6,746,814 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract to provide support for the Navy's Concurrently Engineered Ball-Joint Gimbal Seeker Program to simulate, design, fabricate, integrate and test a Ball Joint Gimbal Seeker. Work will be performed in Plano, Texas (50%) and China Lake, California (50%), and

is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 300 proposals solicited and

20 offers received. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00014-96-C-0090).

Rockwell International Corporation, Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $38,794,456 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of four High Power Transmit Set Systems for installation in the E-6A aircraft. Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas (70%), El Paso, Texas (20%) ad Shreveport, Louisiana (10%), and is expected to be completed by November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00019-95-C-0212).

Pioneer UAV, Incorporated, Hunt Valley, Maryland, is being awarded a $7,548,825 firm-fixed-price contract for logistics support for the Pioneer Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV). Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Maryland (60%), Patuxent River, Maryland (25%), Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (5%), Twenty Nine Palms, California (5%) and Fort Huachuca, Arizona (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00019-95-C-0219).

Pickus Construction and Equipment Company, Waukegan, Illinois, is being awarded a $9,276,750 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Uniform Issue Building. Work will

be performed in Great Lakes, Illinois, and is expected to be completed by March 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 142 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Huntington Beach, California, is being awarded a $19,802,533 face value increase to a fixed price contract to provide for relocation of launch operations equipment for the Delta II launch vehicle for the Delta Operations Blockhouse to the new First Space Launch Squadron Operations Building. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity (F04701-93/C-0004, P000XX).

Williams International Corporation, Walled Lake, Michigan, is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for research and development support for the Engine Model Derivative Program.. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 9 firms solicited.
