Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $16,608,062 modification to a firm-fixed price contract to provide for Recurring Manufacturing Support for the U.S. Air Force fiscal year 1999-2000 and Egyptian Peace Vector VI, F-16 aircraft production programs. This contract provided tool engineering and tool manufacturing required to support F-16 aircraft. Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronics Surveillance Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $45,327,739 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for material and engineering and technical services in support of the Mark 92 Fire Control System. This contract combines purchases for the governments of Taiwan (82%); Australia (10%); Spain (4%); Turkey (1%); Bahrain (1%); Egypt (1%); and Saudi Arabia (1%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala. (52%); Moorestown, N.J. (44%); and Port Hueneme, Calif. (4%), and is expected to be completed by March 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $500,000 will expire at the end of current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Raytheon Electronic Systems, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded an $8,383,905 firm-fixed-price order for 54 components of the AN/APG-73 radar used on F/A-18 aircraft. These components include antenna assemblies and transmitters. This purchase is for the Royal Australian Air Force under Foreign Military Sale Program. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Harper/Nielsen Dillingham Builders, Inc. (a joint venture), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded Task Order 0001 at $6,728,878 under an indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for the demolition of an existing air traffic control tower and associated facilities; and the design, engineering and construction of a new complete and usable facility consisting of a new air traffic control tower and radar aircraft tracking communication center at Naval Auxiliary Landing Field. Work will be performed in San Clemente Island, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively negotiated with 120 proposals solicited, 16 offers received and award made on January 29, 2001. The total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. The multiple contractors (six in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Five offers were received for this task order.
