GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Stephen B. Plummer for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as principal deputy assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Pentagon, Washington, DC. Plummer is currently assigned as director, programs, deputy chief of staff, plans and programs, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
