GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Gen. John P. Jumper for reappointment to the grade of general with assignment as commander, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va. Jumper is currently assigned as commander, Air Forces Central Europe, North Atlantic Treaty Organization; commander, United States Air Forces in Europe; and Air Force Component Commander, United States European Command, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
