Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on Oct. 22, a $199,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, F19628-99-D-0012, to provide for ten Computer Replacement Program Retrofit Kits, associated installation and spares, for the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar Systems (JSTARS) aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date was December 2001. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 14, 1999. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity.
NAVY
Raytheon Systems Company, Kirkwood, N.Y., is being awarded a $30,428,004 fixed-price-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for the development of an aviation combined arms tactical trainer - aviation reconfigurable manned simulator. This system will permit Army aviation units to conduct collective task training on a real-time, computerized battlefield in a combined arms scenario. Work will be performed in Binghamton, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through an electronic request for proposals and two offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-00-C-0002).
