ARMY

Fort Carson Family Housing, LLC, Charlotte, N.C., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with an approximate total value not-to-exceed $230,000,000, to provide housing accommodations for a minimum of 2,663 families for a 50-year performance period, with one 25-year option. The contractor will develop, maintain, manage, revitalize/renovate or replace, and own the family housing on the base and improve the community development. The contractor will build 840 new units and renovate the existing family housing units to local Colorado housing standards; own, manage and maintain all units; maintain the grounds of unoccupied and public areas; construct and maintain new roads and infrastructure in associated areas, and reinvest profits in the form of ancillary facilities. Monetary payments are from the housing occupants only; no funds are obligated under this contract. Work will be performed at Ft. Carson, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2074. This effort will develop and demonstrate the software required to implement a cooperative heterogeneous swarm of manned and autonomous unmanned combat vehicles.
