The Department of Defense has established a system to enable the public to sendelectronic holiday greetings to "any soldier" using their home computer and theDefense BosniaLINK home page on the World Wide Web.
BosniaLINK contains operation maps, fact sheets, news releases, biographies ofkey commanders and leaders, and transcripts of briefings, speeches andtestimony.
It now includes a simple message form under the heading "Send yourholiday greetings to the troops in Bosnia." While the system currently doesnot offer the means to deliver personal e-mail messages to specific individualsor units, a selection of these messages will be distributed through internalmilitary print media to the troops, broadcast by the Armed Forces Radio andTelevision Service in both Bosnia and the areas supporting the Joint Endeavoroperation, and posted on BosniaLINK.
To send a message, access Defense BosniaLINK, fill out the form provided andclick on the "send message" button.
