Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. David J. McCloud, United
States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant
general with assignment as director for Force Structure,
Resources, and Assessment (J-8), Joint Staff, Pentagon,
Washington, D.C. McCloud is currently assigned as director,
Operational Requirements, deputy chief of staff, Plans and
Operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon,
Washington, D.C.
McCloud was born Feb. 15, 1945, in San Fernando, Calif.
