CONTRACTS

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Stone Container Corporation of Phoenix, Arizona is being awarded a $6,637,051 fixed price requirements type contract for paper grocery bags. Work will be performed at Phoenix, Arizona, with delivery to multiple sites throughout the Southwestern and Northwestern part of the United States. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by July 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty-nine firms were solicited and ten bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Operations Support Division, Acquisition Business Unit, Fort Lee, Virginia 23801-1800 (DeCA01-96-D-0019).

Duro Bag Manufacturing Company of Ludlow, Kentucky is being awarded a $9,280,659 fixed price requirements type contract for paper grocery bags. Work will be performed at Ludlow, Kentucky, with delivery to multiple sites throughout the Eastern and Midwestern part of the United States. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by July 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty-nine firms were solicited and ten bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Operations Support Division, Acquisition Business Unit, Fort Lee, Virginia 23801-1800 (DeCA01-96-D-0018).

ARMY

FN Manufacturing, Incorporated, Columbia, South Carolina, is being awarded a $24,875,495 increment (FY96 funda) as part of a $35,949,764 (cumulative total) multi-year firm fixed price contract for 9,430 M249 machine guns, 5.56MM and technical data package maintenance service; year two for 3,802 M249 machine guns, 5.56MM and year three, 406 M249 machine guns, 5.56MM. Work will be performed in Columbia, South Carolina, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. AIR FORCE

Litton Guidance and Control Systems, Northridge, California, is being awarded an $8,727,192 firm fixed price contract to provide for 225 (best estimated quantity) Transponder Test Sets applicable to the Identification Friend or Foe System on the F-16 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed November 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and two proposals received. Solicitation began in October 1994 and negotiations ended in June 1996. This effort supports foreign military sales to Lebanon, Morocco, Taiwan, Thailand, Spain, and Singapore. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-96-D-0905).

NAVY

Kaman Aerospace Corporation, Bloomfield, Connecticut, is being awarded a $23,600,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0127 for long lead materials and services to manufacture the SH-2G(E) aircraft upgrade for the Egyptian Government under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Bloomfield, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

STANDARD Missile Company, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,260,740 letter contract for production of 37 STANDARD Missile - 1, Block VIB modification kits and miscellaneous space parts. Work will be performed in McLean, Virginia (16%), Tucson, Arizona (69%), Scottsdale, Arizona (7%), and Chattanooga, Tennessee (8%), and is expected to be completed by January 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-5336).

Military Construction Corporation,* Orange Park, Florida, is being awarded a $14,813,842 firm-fixed-price contract for wholehouse revitalization and incidental related improvements to 679 family housing units at Bennett Shores, Naval Station, Mayport, Florida. Work will be performed in Mayport, Florida, and is expected to be completed by November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 25 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida, is the contracting activity (N62467-96-C-0772).

James McHugh Construction Company, Chicago, Illinois, is being awarded a $11,172,000 firm-fixed-price contract for wholehouse revitalization and incidental related improvements on the family housing units at Forrestal Village, Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. Work will be performed in Great Lakes, Illinois, and is expected to be completed by July 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 75 proposals solicited and three offers received.
