NAVY

Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a $24,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for demolition and then a master development plan, design and replacement construction of up to 316 two- and three-bedroom townhouse units in the Tarawa Terrace Housing at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 53 proposals solicited and seven offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-97-C-7111).

Anteon Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded an $8,420,127 firm-fixed-price delivery order to exercise an option to previously awarded contract N00024-00-F-2307 for professional engineering and logistics services in support of the Program Executive Office for Theater Surface Combatants. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

South Carolina Research Authority, North Charleston, S.C., on behalf of The Composites Consortium comprised of South Carolina Research Authority and North American Composites Consortium, Inc., is being awarded a $5,000,000 cooperative agreement for the continuation of the Center of Excellence for Composites Manufacturing Technology responsible for the creation, operation and management of the composites manufacturing technology focus area. Work will be performed in North Charleston, S.C., and is expected to be completed by October 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

CORRECTION: The contract awarded on October 10, 2000 to Michelin Aircraft Tire Corp., for $70,314,233 for delivery of 23 types of naval aviation tires supporting F-14, V-22, H-60, AV-8B, TA-4, P-3, S-3, F/A-18, EA-6B, H-46, T-2, H-53, E-2, C-2, and H-3 aircraft inadvertently stated that if all options were exercised the total cumulative value of the contract would be $366,474,540. It should have read that if all option were exercised, it would bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $266,475,540.

ARMY

Griffin Services Inc.*, Atlanta, Ga., was awarded $11,600,802 as part of a $57,655,149 cost-plus-award-fee contract on Oct. 12, 2000. The contractor will perform a Directorate of Public Works, OMB A76 cost comparison study. Work will be performed at Fort Stewart, Ga. (64%), and Hunter Army Airfield, Ga. (36%), and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2006. Of the total contract funds, $11,600,802 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 62 bids solicited on Oct. 8, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Directorate of Contracting, Fort Stewart, Ga., is the contracting activity (DAKF10-01-C-0001).
