ARMY
General Dynamics Land Systems, Incorporated, Sterling Heights, Michigan, is
being awarded a $19,406,100 modification (contract line option) to a firm fixed
price contract for 100 FY95 Abrams Tank upgrades, Phase II, long lead material.
Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (55%), Sterling Heights, Michigan (31%),
Scranton, Pennsylvania (8%), and Warren, Michigan (6%), and is expected to be
completed by July 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on January 18,
1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command,
Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-95-C-0292).
AIR FORCE
United Technologies Corporation, West Palm Beach, Florida, is being awarded a
$118,655,784 fixed price contract for twenty-four F-117-PW-100 engines
applicable to the C-17 aircraft. Work will be performed at Pratt & Whitney
Manufacturing Operations in Middletown, Connecticut. Contract is expected to
be completed January 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. The solicitation was issued in August 1994 and
negotiations were completed in March 1995. Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity
(F33657-94/C-2155).
