ARMY

FN Manufacturing Inc., of Columbia, S.C., was awarded a delivery order amount of $19,365,000 as part of a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract for 2,582 M240B Machine Guns. Work will be performed in Columbia, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bids were solicited on the World-Wide Web on March 8, 2001, and two bids were received. The Tank and Automotive Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-01-D-0065).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation of Stratford, Conn., was awarded a $4,964,415 increment as part of an $11,521,095 contract for four Multi-function Displays and one 701D Engine Improved Hover Infrared Suppression System. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on Feb. 29, 2000, and one bid received. The U.S. Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-C-0053).

Weeks Marine, Inc. of Covington, La., was awarded a $3,150,000 increment as part of a $23,692,150 contract for Baltimore Harbor and Channels maintenance and new work dredging for the Ferry Bar Channel, Fort McHenry Channel, Turning Basin, Dundalk East and West Channels, Seagirt-Dundalk Connecting Channel, South Locust Point Marine Terminal, Anchorage No. 3 and No. 4 and Chesapeake Bay, Md. Work will be performed in the Baltimore Harbor and Channels, Md., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on Nov. 28, 2001, and three bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, Baltimore, Md., is the contracting activity (DACW31-02-C-0005).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Technical Services Co., Las Vegas, Nev., is being awarded a $7,564,756 fixed-price requirements award term contract with a cost reimbursable contract to provide for Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory services. These services include actions necessary to manage, test, calibrate, repair, modify, certify, store, safeguard, transport, and perform traceable measurements on test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by March 2005. Solicitation was posted on the electronic posting system in August 2001, and two proposals were received. Negotiations were completed February 2002. The contractor will perform this effort at Royal Air Force Feltwell, United Kingdom. The 48th Contracting Squadron, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom, is the contracting activity (F61775-02-D0001).

NAVY

Honeywell International Inc. Defense and Space, Tempe, Ariz., is being issued a $7,103,406 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price long term contract (N00383-00-D-007J) for total logistics support for repair of KC-130 auxiliary power units. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $13,736,130. Work will be performed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is expected to be completed by September 2005. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

R. A. Burch Construction Co., Inc., Ramona, Calif., is being awarded a $6,879,716 task order under a previously awarded indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract (N68711-01-D-6216) for the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC) training support facility at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, Calif. The work provides for hazardous material demolition and disposal of existing buildings number 313, 314, 315, 286 and the east wing of building 165, paved concrete yards, paved parking areas and roads, the construction of a new facility with two-story and one-story structures, and requiring all necessary utility services, on site improvements, access roads and off-site work as required. The total contract amount for this task order is not to exceed $7,105,116 (base bid and two options). Work will be performed in Coronado, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively negotiated with 120 proposals solicited, 16 offers received, and award made on January 29, 2001. The total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. The multiple contractors (six in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. One proposal was received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
