A ceremony to honor the recipient of the first Paul H. Nitze Award for
Excellence in International Security Affairs will be held on Tuesday, September
26, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. in the Pentagon Auditorium (Room 5A1070).
This new, annual award will be presented to an individual who has a
distinguished record of sustained superior performance and significant
contributions to international security affairs.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Nitze, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for
International Security Affairs, will present a plaque to the winner and
formally recognize all finalists. Assistant Secretary of Defense for
International Security Affairs Joseph S. Nye, Jr., will also speak during the
ceremony.
