Benefits

Students can earn between one to nine credits for a paper based on their Peace Corps service, depending on the program. In some cases, Peace Corps service will fulfill a thesis or internship requirement. MI students are eligible for all forms of financial assistance available to graduate students in the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences' (CALS) departments. These include teaching assistantships, research assistantships, project assistantships, university fellowship awards, graduate scholarships and fellowships, and special employment arrangements with university projects and private industry.

Description

The University of Wisconsin-Madison offers a Master of Science in Agronomy. Students will typically spend two to three semesters on campus before Peace Corps service, depending on the program. Students will return to campus following Peace Corps service to complete any additional coursework and a paper based on their service.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an approved institution. The minimum undergraduate GPA accepted for admission with full standing is 3.0 on a 4.0 basis. All applicants are required to have three letters of recommendation from persons who are able to judge the candidate's ability to satisfactorily undertake graduate studies. GRE scores are needed as well.
