DESCRIPTION:
(Formerly known as Safe Passages Summer Youth Program.) DC Summer Fun provides a variety of programs such as reading clubs, camps, sports, and summer jobs for young people in the District. There are also free meals, health and mental health services available. This program is offered through the collaboration of the: DC Public Libraries, State Education Office, Department of Employment Services, Department of Parks and Recreation, DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation, DC Public Schools, Department of Human Services, Department of Mental Health, Department of Health, and Office of the Deputy Mayor for Children, Youth, Families and Elders.
