Message to Voice Response Organizations

The ASAP VRS will be turned off at 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, November 14, 2008. To make a payment request after 5:00 PM on, November 14, 2008, you must be enrolled and using the ASAP.gov Internet site. If you do not enroll in ASAP.gov before November 14, 2008, you will no longer have access to funds in your ASAP accounts. For enrollment information, contact your servicing Regional Financial Center.

The U. S. Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service will decommission the Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) Voice Response System (VRS) on November 15, 2008. Your organization must have access to ASAP's website, (ASAP.gov) to continue drawing payments after November 15, 2008.

Below are the VRS decommissioning notification letters that were sent to VRS organizations. There are two versions of the letters: one for organizations that use the VRS only and one for organizations that use both the VRS and ASAP.gov. Existing users for your organization were outlined in the letters that were sent. Please take the necessary steps before November 15, 2008 to ensure that your organization will have access to ASAP.gov after the VRS is decommissioned.
