What is NOAA Weather Radio?

NOAA Weather RadioCurrent weather, forecasts, and warnings are available 24 hours a day directly from the National Weather Service via NOAA Weather Radio. You can listen to NOAA Weather Radio frequencies not only by using a weather radio (available at Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, and other places), but also by many scanners, some CB radios, 2m HAM radios, and some AM/FM radios with special Weather Bands. Special-needs weather radios provide weather and other hazards information for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.

Can I get current severe weather information on my pager?

In Oklahoma, the OK-WARN hazardous weather pager program gives deaf and hard-of-hearing Oklahoman's better access to hazardous weather information via alphanumeric pagers and/or E-mail addresses.

Current weather data can also be obtained on the Internet at many University, college, government, TV Station, and private company web sites. Many web sites provide - but do not guarantee - timely data. Here is a partial list of web sites that provide weather data.
