Minority Bank Deposit Program

Re-Certification

Qualified Minority Bank Deposit Program participants are certified by the Financial Management Service (FMS) on an annual basis and placed on a program roster of eligible minority institutions.

Each qualifying financial institution receives a formal acceptance letter confirming their membership in Treasury's Minority Bank Deposit Program and a roster of all current Minority Bank Deposit Program participants.

Recertification for minority bank participants occurs annually. To remain in the program, financial institutions must provide an annual certified application MBDP Certification - Form 3144 to the Financial Management Service, Department of the Treasury. Each qualifying financial institution is notified by the Financial Management Service, Department of Treasury on an annual basis as to when to submit a new completed and notarized Form 3144 if they wish to be included on the updated program roster. Participants are required to notify FMS if there is any change in their status that could affect their eligibility in the Minority Bank Deposit Program.
