ERS-1 IGDRs

ERS-1 and ERS-2 Altimeter Data

The European Space Agency Remote Sensing Satellites (ERS-1 and ERS-2) provided global altimeter data throughout most of the 1990s. ERS-1 operated from November 1991 to June 1996, and ERS-2 began collecting data in June 1995, providing a 1-year overlap with ERS-1. ESA's Envisat was launched in March 2002.
