The Rocky Mountain Region recently updated its Metering Policy. Its purpose is to establish guidelines for the RMR concerning revenue and load control metering responsibilities and requirements. Utilities who are considering interconnecting with Western’s transmission system should access Western’s Interconnection web page. This page spells out all the requirements and the processes for connecting to Western’s transmission system. Western is extremely proud of our safety record. This is due in part to our ongoing commitment to safety, Western’s "Power System Safety Manual" and Western's "Power System Maintenance Manual." As technology and equipment change, these manuals are continually being updated to ensure the safety of our maintenance crews.

Western’s Rocky Mountain Region’s Maintenance forces are divided into three separate maintenance offices: the Wyoming/Nebraska Maintenance Office located in Mills, Wyoming, the Eastern Colorado Maintenance Office located in Loveland, Colorado, and the Western Colorado Maintenance Office located in Montrose, Colorado. There are also field offices located in Brush, Colorado; Craig, Colorado; Shiprock, New Mexico; Gering, Nebraska; Sidney, Nebraska; Cody, Wyoming and Cheyenne, Wyoming. These maintenance forces are responsible for over 118 substations and almost 5300 miles of transmission lines.
